As You Are! Productions create fun, innovative, expressive and colourful productions for children that allow them to be who they want to be.
Each production week is a great opportunity for children to make new friends, work as a team and enjoy dramatic arts in a safe and caring environment. A great alternative to holiday clubs or child minders, our team will welcome your child with open arms. No auditions, no requirements, just you and your talent!
Welcome to our website...have a look around and please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions! We can't wait for you to join the As You Are! family!
As You Are Productions was founded in 2018 by performer and drama teacher Amy Nicholls who was inspired by the children she teaches to create a new piece of theatre for them to perform. After the success of her pioneering production 'Step into the Time Pod' with roles originated by the pupils of Hilden Oaks School, Amy decided creating theatre for children was a pretty fun way to spend her time!
A last minute change of plans due to broken ankles (break a leg has a whole new meaning!) saw Amy enlisting the help of long-time friend Scarlett and the As You Are! Dream Team was born.
Amy and Scarlett met whilst at Kent College, Pembury, both spending the majority of their time devising in a dark theatre, directing Year 8 Drama club or rifling through costumes in the drama wardrobe. This was where their joint love for theatre and teaching began to flourish and they are thrilled to be back working together again!

Here's what they have had to say about our past production weeks.
'I am so impressed and so grateful for last weeks course. My girls absolutely loved the whole week, they had such fun as well as learning and developing skills. The fact that it also ended with such an excellent production yesterday was quite simply amazing! Well done to you and your small, but perfectly formed, team!'
'We wanted to pass on thanks to the team for the excellent Easter workshop - it was great for our children to have such a fun week whilst enabling us to work!! The production was great too. We very much look forward to it being repeated in the summer!'
I'm so thrilled to have found something they love to spend their holidays doing and I don't feel guilty about leaving them with a childminder! The production was fantastic and my kids had a blast...thank you ladies!
